You can learn Khaz Algar Herbalism from the following teachers starting at character level 68:

Herbs in Khaz Algar

Rare Herbs

There are various types of rare herb spawns that you can encounter in the game, and these become crucial because from around skill level 50 onwards, these herbs are the only ones that will give you any skill points. Since they are simply rare spawns in locations where common herbs grow, there is no specific farming route for them.

Rare Herb Variants

  • Lush: You gather more herbs than usual.
  • Crystallized: You also receive Crystalline Powder.
  • Modified: Grants Writhing Samples and applies a nasty ticking poison debuff.
  • Spore Fusion: Greenish spores spawn that should be handled with caution.
  • Irradiated: Provides Leyline Residue but also throws you back.
  • Camouflaged: These herbs are completely invisible to the naked eye! (Can be revealed with Phial of Truesight and likely a specialization.)

Additionally, when gathering herbs, there’s a chance you may also collect Null Lotus.

Profession-Specific Bag

For the first time in The War Within, job-specific bags are available for each profession. These bags provide a small, additional bonus and can be uniquely equipped for each profession. For example, if you are a Herbalist or an Alchemist, you can equip both the herbalism bag and the alchemy bag to benefit from their respective advantages.

For the Herbalism profession, the bag is the Gardener’s Seed Satchel. Crafted by tailors, this satchel grants an additional bonus, specifically reducing the cooldown of the Empowered Herb Overload spell.
