What’s up gaming heroes, welcome back to another awesome World of Warcraft guide.
If you’re trying to farm Hero Crests quickly in WoW Midnight right now, most players are still doing the exact same thing they’ve been doing for weeks:
- Tier 8 Delves
- Bountiful Delves
- Daily resets
- Coffee key farming
And honestly?
That still works perfectly fine.
However, there is currently a much faster method for farming Hero Crests, and surprisingly loads of players still are not taking advantage of it.
That method is:
Ritual Sites
Right now, Ritual Sites are one of the fastest ways in the game to farm Hero Crests in Midnight, especially if:
- You’re gearing alts
- You have limited playtime
- You don’t want to spam Mythic+ all day
For players with:
- Full-time jobs
- Families
- Busy schedules
This method is honestly amazing.
And personally, I really like where Blizzard is going with this system because it feels like the early stages of something much bigger for World of Warcraft progression overall.

Why Ritual Sites Are So Good
Unlike Delves, Ritual Sites are:
- Faster
- More repeatable
- More open-ended
- Not heavily restricted
And that last point is really important.
With Delves, you eventually run into:
- Bountiful lockouts
- Coffee key limitations
- Daily restrictions
- Limited rewards
Ritual Sites don’t really care about any of that.
You can just:
Go again immediately
Over and over.
That makes them incredibly efficient for farming.
The Best Ritual Site Tier
The sweet spot right now is:
Tier 5 Ritual Sites
These currently reward:
- 20 Hero Dawncrests
- Filled Acolytes
- Voidlight Maw
- Great Vault progression
- Hero-track rewards
And the craziest part?
Optimised groups are clearing these in:
Around 2 minutes
That is absurdly fast crest farming.
Even solo players can do these efficiently though, so don’t think this is only for hardcore players.
Why Ritual Sites Beat Delves for Crests
The reason Ritual Sites outperform Delves is because they are designed completely differently.
Delves Are:
- Story-focused
- Objective-heavy
- Slower paced
- More adventure oriented
Ritual Sites Are:
- Kill targets
- Move fast
- Repeat instantly
That simplicity is exactly why they are so strong.
You are basically playing as an assassin:
- Enter
- Kill priority enemies
- Leave
- Repeat
That’s it.
Open Layout = Faster Farming
Another major advantage is the layout.
Ritual Sites are much more open compared to Delves, which means:
- Faster movement
- Easier routing
- Better mount usage
And if you’re farming with a group, things become even crazier because players can split up and handle different objectives at the same time.
That’s where the truly ridiculous farming speeds begin.
Best Group Setup
Tier 5 Ritual Sites require:
Four active challenges
Personally, I strongly recommend:
- Easier challenge combinations
- Fast clears
- Efficiency over difficulty
Do not turn this into a sweaty challenge run.
The goal is:
Fast repetition
Not suffering.
Important Mistake To Avoid
One of the biggest mistakes players make is:
Pulling the entire Ritual Site
This slows runs down massively and leads to unnecessary deaths.
Instead:
Play like an assassin.
Focus on:
- Priority enemies
- Dangerous casts
- Efficient movement
- Constant momentum
Avoid unnecessary packs whenever possible.
The faster you maintain momentum, the faster your overall farming becomes.
Ritual Sites Become Extremely Chill
Once you learn the routes, these become very repetitive.
But honestly?
In a good way.
This becomes one of those methods where you can:
- Put Netflix on
- Relax
- Switch your brain off
- Farm efficiently
Which is honestly great for long sessions.
Great Vault Progression Is Excellent
Another huge advantage is:
Great Vault progression
Tier 5 Ritual Sites contribute extremely well towards your weekly vault.
In many cases, they are actually better than:
- Standard Delves
- Nightmare Prey Hunts
For solo players, this is massive.
It creates another strong progression path outside of:
- Mythic+ spam
- Raid dependency
And honestly, that’s one of Midnight’s biggest strengths overall.
There are simply more viable progression paths than older expansions had.
The One Downside
The only real downside is repetition.
Delves definitely feel:
- More varied
- More adventurous
- More unique
Ritual Sites are basically:
Speed + repetition + efficiency
However, if your goal is:
Fast Hero Crests
Then Ritual Sites are absolutely the better option right now.
Patch 12.0.7 Makes This Even Better
Things get even crazier in Patch 12.0.7.
Because:
Tier 6 Ritual Sites will reward Myth Crests
That is huge.
This turns Ritual Sites into a serious long-term progression system rather than just a temporary catch-up mechanic.
Blizzard’s Future Plans Look Interesting
Blizzard have also teased:
The Labyrinth System
Coming later in the Midnight expansion.
And honestly?
Ritual Sites feel like Blizzard experimenting with scalable outdoor progression systems beyond just Delves.
Personally, I’m really enjoying it.
I genuinely like the gameplay loop of:
- Going in fast
- Eliminating targets
- Optimising routes
- Repeating efficiently
It feels healthier for the game than forcing every player into:
- Mythic+ only
- Raid only
Final Thoughts
If you need Hero Crests fast right now in WoW Midnight:
👉 Farm Tier 5 Ritual Sites
They are:
- Faster than Delves
- More repeatable
- Extremely efficient
- Great for solo players
- Incredible for alt gearing
Especially if you have limited time to play, this is one of the best progression methods currently available.
