Quick Check List Gearing up in Midnight at Level 90!

This is a clean, efficient path to go from a fresh level 90 to around 240–250 item level using simple systems you can do solo.

FAST GEARING CHECKLIST in Midnight:
Auction House Buy cheap gear (190–200 ilvl)
Weekly Quests + World Boss + Soiree (Eversong Woods)
Timewalking (If Active) 5 Dungeons + Raid Open All Rewards
World Quests + Assignments Tier 8 Delves (or higher)

Use Treasure Maps
Prey Hunts (fill weak slots) Upgrade Gear with Crests

Catalyst → Tier Set Pieces

Bonus Rolls (Void Storm)

Mythic+ / Raiding

Auction House Starter Gear

First step is fixing your baseline.

Go to the Auction House and buy:

  • Cheap gear only
  • Around item level 190–200
  • Roughly 200–500 gold per piece

Do not overspend here. This is just to get you moving.

Your goal is to reach around:

Item level 195

This makes everything else faster and easier.

Weekly Quests and World Boss

This is free value and should always be done early.

  • Pick up your weekly quests
  • Kill the world boss

The world boss takes a couple of minutes and can drop strong gear.

Weekly caches will give:

  • Gear upgrades
  • Materials
  • Gold

Sometimes even a large chunk of raw gold.

Timewalking (Fast Gear Boost)

If Timewalking is active, this is one of the best systems available.

What to do

  • Complete 5 Timewalking dungeons (weekly quest)
  • Run extra dungeons for drops
  • Do the Timewalking raid

Most players skip the raid. Do not skip it.

It’s easy, quick, and gives multiple chances at upgrades.

Search for a group in LFG, join, and clear it.

Open All Rewards

At this point you should have a lot saved up:

  • Weekly caches
  • Dungeon rewards
  • Raid rewards
  • Random boxes

Open everything at once.

You should now be sitting around:

215–220 item level

World Quests and Special Assignments

Now move into world content.

Use something like World Quest Tracker if you want to speed things up.

Strategy

  • Complete world quests that give gear
  • Skip anything slow
  • Keep moving efficiently

Special Assignments

After completing a few world quests in a zone, you unlock special assignments.

These give:

  • Better gear
  • Extra rewards

Do not skip them.

Delves (Main Gearing Method)

This is where most of your gear will come from.

What to aim for

  • Tier 8 delves minimum
  • Tier 11 if you’re comfortable

Why delves matter

  • Consistent Champion gear
  • Chance at Hero gear
  • Very efficient for alts

Key tips

  • Focus on Bountiful Delves
  • Use Treasure Maps when you have them
  • Kill all elite objectives (helmet icons on the minimap)

Skipping elites lowers your rewards, so don’t rush them.

Fix Weak Gear Slots

At this point you will usually have one or two weak pieces.

This is normal.

Use these systems

  • Prey Hunts
  • Nightmare Prey Hunts (once unlocked)
  • Soirée quests in Eversong Woods

These are very good for targeting missing upgrades.

Upgrade Gear with Crests

Now turn your progress into power.

Go to Silvermoon and upgrade your gear using crests.

Do not save them.

Higher item level means:

  • Easier content
  • Faster progress
  • Better group invites

Bonus Rolls (Extra Loot Chances)

This is one of the most underrated systems.

You get Bonus Rolls from the Void Forge system in Voidstorm.

You can trade:

  • Gold
  • Voidlight
  • Spare crests

for extra rolls.

Why this is strong

  • Extra chance at loot
  • Works in raids, delves, and Mythic+
  • Helps target specific upgrades

There is also a soft knockout system, meaning you are less likely to get the same item repeatedly.

When to Use Bonus Rolls

Use them once you are around:

240 item level

At this point, you should be targeting specific upgrades.

Catalyst (Set Gear)

If you get strong pieces of gear, use the Catalyst in Silvermoon to convert them into set pieces.

This gives:

  • Set bonuses
  • Big power increases

It’s one of the biggest upgrades you can make.

Final Result

If you follow this properly, you will reach:

240–250 item level quickly

Without:

  • Boosting
  • Repeating the campaign
  • Wasting time

Simple Path Recap

  1. Buy cheap Auction House gear
  2. Do weekly quests and world boss
  3. Run Timewalking (including raid)
  4. Open all rewards
  5. Complete world quests and assignments
  6. Farm delves
