All Treasures in The War Within

All around Khaz Algar there is treasure. This article will go into details regarding each treasure and its loot. These are NOT the treasures for the “Treasures of ___” achievements, but treasures like Disturbed Earth and all the other zone based treasures.

If you have the SilverDragon addon most of the treasures will be pinged by the addon, so you’ll always know if a treasure is nearby.

Treasure Loot

Every treasure in all the zones have the same loot table, with the exception of Kej and Radiant Remnants only dropping from certain zones, Azj-Kahet and Hallowfall respectively. These are the loot, which can drop from the Khaz Algar treasures:

  • Crafting Materials – Quality 1
  • Valorstones
  • Gear – Uncommon ilvl 558 and Rare ilvl 564 at level 80.
  • Gray trash
  • 1-2 Profession Knowledge – less than 1% loot chance
  • Odd Glob of Wax (Only from Disturbed Earth)
  • Kej – only drops in Azj-Kahet
  • Radiant Remnant – only drops in Hallowfall

Disturbed Earth Treasure

The Disturbed Earth is a treasure, which can be found in every single zone in Khaz Algar. The treasures will not appear on your mini map, and therefore cannot be pinged by SilverDragon. They are visible on the ground characterised by their purple glow. When clicking on them you’ll begin “digging”, which will trigger a random outcome, which will reward you with loot. The most common occurrence is that a mob will spawn or a Waxy Lump will spawn.

Mob spawns

These are some of the most common mob spawns, when digging up Disturbed Earth:

  • Ambushing Swarmers (many will spawn)
  • Burrowing Jawcrawler
  • Burrowing Stoneswarmer
  • Crushing Waxthief
  • Crystal Clacker
  • Disturbed Krolusk
  • Encroaching Fungarian (3x)
  • Enraged Chickens (many will spawn)
  • Enraged Snuffler
  • Kobold Wax-Thief
  • Lashroom
  • Nerubian Ambusher
  • Nerubian Venomweb
  • Pupating Stinger
  • Raging Rock
  • Raging Roots
  • Understalker Tunneler
  • Wandering Scuttleshell
  • Warbling Mudskip
  • Waxen Bones
  • Waxy Blob

Simply kill the mob and loot it.

Waxy Lump

With this occurrence a Waxy Lump will spawn. This will contain the loot. Simply loot the lump by clicking on it.

This treasure will often appear after some of the other mechanics, which can be spawned by the disturbed earth.

Malfunctioning Defense Turret

This one will spawn one Malfunctioning Defense Turret after another until a Waxy Lump, containing the loot, will spawn. They will spawn close to your character and have a large triangle area in front of them. Dodge the explosive areas, which they spawn, until the Waxy Lump spawns with your loot. You’ll have 2 seconds to run out of every danger zone.

The easiest way to dodge the explosive area is running to the right or left, right when the turret spawns. Do not try to dodge it by running the long way away from the turret.
You can get hit by a few of these, if you have a decent health pool, but you will die if you dodge none of them.

Floating Waxy Sporebits

This spawns a whirlwind and a bunch of spores in the air above it. Jump through the whirlwind, glide through the spores to collect the loot. You’ll still receive the other rewards from this even though it only notifies you about the Odd Glob of Wax.

Great Tip: You can mount up and fly through them to collect the loot.

Wax Worm

This spawns a bunch of small worms, wax worms, which you need to step on to get loot. The more you step on the more loot you receive. You can damage them, but this will just kill them, and you will NOT get loot from doing this. Running through multiple worms at once can occasionally bug out and only squish one of the worms.

Wax Hoarder

This spawns a neutral mob called Wax Hoarder. He will run back and forth in straight lines throwing wax in the air. These flying wax globs will spawn a swirling puddle, which you need to stand in to receive the wax, which will reward you with the loot. The event is fairly long, and the distance between the hoarder and the swirl can be quite far, but occasionally close as well.

I strongly recommend mounting up, so you will be able to go to the swirlies faster, so you’ll receive more loot.

Treasure Hoard

This event spawns a large Treasure Hoard. You have to defend the treasure hoard from approaching Kobold Looters. You can either kill them or interrupt them, when they start casting Swipe Loot. I recommend doing a mix of both, however this is difficult to fully defend alone. Every time the Kobold steals loot (finished the Swipe Loot cast) the treasure hoard will get smaller. You will get loot based on how well you defended the hoard.

There is no need to kill the Looters AFTER they’ve finished the Swipe Loot cast, as the stealing has already commenced.

Good Wax Rain

This event will spawn a barrage of molten wax, which you’ll need to collect. It will spawn a circle on the floor. Standing in these circles is how you get the loot. The circles are fairly small.
There are two different kinds of rain. One will only spawn 3 molten wax blobs raining down, and the other will spawn many molten wax blobs.

You can mount up right, when the barrage starts to collect the rain faster, awarding you with more loot.

Bad Wax Rain

Like the good wax, this event will spawn a barrage of molten wax as well. However these you will need to dodge. The barrage will only last a little while, before the loot will spawn in the form of a Waxy Lump. The size of the area you need to dodge can be seen on the picture to the right. You should have plenty of time to move out of the danger zone, if you just keep moving.

You don’t have to dodge all of them, if you have a decent health pool.
However they do a fair amount of dmg, and you will die, if you don’t dodge any of them.

Blob Bounce

This event will spawn a neutral green blob mob. You need to bounce on this mob multiple times to receive loot. The mob will move around slowly, and is not very large. The more times you bounce on the mob, the more loot you will acquire.

I strongly recommend using your mouse to control your character, while it’s bouncing, as it makes it easier to control where you land. Simply hold down both mouse buttons, and look down upon the mob when you’re bouncing.

Hallowfall Treasures

The treasures in Hallowfall all have massive spawn areas, therefore I have no map locations for this zone. This zone is likely the best zone to farm treasures in, due to them all spawning all over the place.

The treasures which can only be found in Hallowfall are:

Arathi Treasure Hoard

These treasures spawns all over Hallowfall, so there is no specific location to go for. This one has a version with even more loot called Brimming Arathi Treasure Hoard, seen in the picture to the right above. The treasure is slightly larger than the regular treasure. The Brimming treasure has a chance to spawn in place of the regular treasure.

Concentrated Shadow

This treasure only spawns during the void state of Beledar, seen in the picture to the right above. This one also has a version with even more loot called Potent Concentrated Shadow, however they look exactly the same. And just like the Arathi Treasure Hoard, this one also spawns all over Hallowfall!

Kobyss Ritual Cache

This one has a version with even more loot called Overflowing Kobyss Ritual Cache. This treasure only spawns in Kobyss areas, which there are many of, in Hallowfall. The map below shows all the Kobyss areas in Hallowfall highlighted in red, which is where this treasure spawns.

The Ringing Deeps Treasures

The treasures which can only be found in The Ringing Deeps are:

Very interestingly almost none of the treasure spawn zones in The Ringing Deeps overlap, with the only exception being at the very bottom of the map.

Deep-Lost Satchel

This one has a version with even more loot called Brimming Deep-Lost Satchel, which can spawn in place of any regular Deep-Lost Satchel. This treasure spawns almost all across The Ringing Deeps.

Machine Speaker’s Reliquary

This one has a version with even more loot called Etched Machine Speaker’s Reliquary. Again this one also spawns almost all across The Ringing Deeps, with very few areas not covered in this treasure.

Pile of Refuse

This one again has a version with even more loot called Enormous Pile of Refuse. Just like the others, it can spawn in place of any of the regular spawns. This treasure spawns in all of the Kobold areas of the zone.

Treasure Quests

Archives: Seeking History

You can pick up Archives: Seeking History from High Speaker Brinthe in Dornogal at /way 46.2 49.0. This weekly quest requires you to find 100 Titan Disc Fragments. For every treasure in Khaz Algar you’ll receive 1-2 Titan Disc Fragments. Every rare elite you kill and loot will give you 10 Titan Disc Fragments. You can repeatedly kill the same elite rares and receive the 10 Titen Disc Fragments, however you’ll not get the reputation or other loot. You’ll receive 50 Titan Disc Fragments from killing the World Boss, but not if you’re in a raid group. Here is a little chart over the Titan Disc Fragment rewards:

50x Fragments = World Boss (not in raid group)
10x Fragments = Rare elite kills (repeatable)
1-2x Fragments = Treasures

Rollin’ Down in the Deeps

Rollin’ Down in the Deeps is a weekly quest, which you can pick up from Gnawbles in Gundargaz in The Ringing Deeps at /way 47.6 35.2. It requires you to acquire 10 Odd Glob of Wax. You can only get these globs from Disturbed Earth all around Khaz Algar. When handed in you will receive one Everyday Cache, and 1000 reputation for The Assembly of the Deeps faction. The Everyday Cache will award you with a piece of gear and has a very small chance to also award an enchanting formula, and 5 Carved Harbinger Crest. This piece of gear is sadly not Warbound (see the Warband article here).

Hillhelm Family

Throughout Hallowfall there is a quest chain. This chain is not part of the main quest line. You can pick up three out of the 15 quests from treasures around Hallowfall. The three quests, which you can pick up are:

They all need to be handed into Aliya Hillhelm, located at the very top of Hallowfall at /way 61.2 30.6. She is located right next to the Hillhelm Family Farm flight point.

These quests are needed to accomplish the Life on the Farm achievement.
