Addons I Use:

Here are the 2 addons that I use that I feel REALLY make this uniquely fun!

Immersion: Quest Text and Quest Interface altering Addon, replace boring quest panes with talking heads! Just like an RTS!

Dynamic Cam: An Addon that will let you change and alter HOW your camera handles, creating some super cool angles reminiscent of the Top Down look of Diablo and Warcraft (Common RTS / Isometric Games)!

Playing WoW like an RTS – The Rules

The rules that I try to follow when playing WoW like an RTS can be found in the list below!

Make sure to turn on Click to Move! (Found in your Settings, just search “Click” and it will come up.)

  • One bag: I can only use the Starter WoW pack, to emulate the limited bag space of WC3 Hero Characters
  • No Keyboard Movement: I can only use my mouse click to move, no WASD!
  • Only 4 spells: Similar to limited and restrictive hero spells, I can only use 4 spells.
  • Can only add/change spells on Level up, never after.

What is an RTS?

For those that are curious, RTS stands for “Real Time Strategy” and was the name for strategy games like Warcraft, Startcraft, and even Age of Empires! Hopefully I was able to show you how to play WoW like an RTS!
