First, head to Nagrand in Draenor.
How to get to Draenor (click to open)
There are two ways you can get to Draenor:
First, you can take the portal from your capital city to Ashran, and then fly to Nagrand.
The second possibility is getting the quests to go to Draenor.
1. Go to your capital city (Stormwind for Alliance and Orgrimmar for Horde).
2. Go to one of your faction’s quest boards. You will find those in main locations of the city, but we put locations for the quest boards in the pictures below.
3. Pick up the quest “Tanaan Jungle”. If you don’t see it, try picking up another quest and checking if it appears now, if not then use the portal method (see above).
4. The quest will show you on your map the location of a mage NPC you need to talk to. The NPC will teleport you to the Blasted Lands.
5. Abandon the quest (right click it and select abandon). Now head over to the Dark Portal in the center of the zone and go through it, you will find yourself in Draenor.
6. There should be an NPC called Velen right in front of you, pick up the quest he gives you, it will eventually lead to you having a Garrison Hearthstone which is a useful way to get back to Draenor whenever you want to!
Then, head over to this location:
Kill the 3 highlighted rares for a chance at getting 3 different pets:
I would strongly recommend leaving an alt at this location and killing all 3 rares each day. This will provide you with some passive income and you can even sell the pets on different realms if you get too many duplicates. They may not be the most expensive item, but they sell much quicker and are very consistent.
EXTRA TIP:
You can use Engineering to teleport to Draenor really fast:
- Go to Ashran using the portal in your main city. Talk to a guard to find the engineering trainer there. Learn Engineering, then buy the Draenor Engineering for 95 gold and learn it.
- Craft a Secret of Draenor Engineering (you can buy the mats on the auction house), then buy the Schematic: Wormhole Centrifuge from the same vendor as before.
- You’ll be able to craft the Wormhole Centrifuge after a few days of crafting Gearspring Parts daily.
This toy is super useful to teleport around Draenor, and once you’ve crafted it you can use it on ANY character that has Draenor engineering, even at level 1!
