What: The Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza!
When: Sunday 2pm-4pm Server time.
Where: Stranglethorn Vale. (Fishing in the Cape and Northern Stranglethorn, turn in in Booty Bay!)
Why: To Become a Master Angler! (And get a Snazzy Heirloom Ring!)
How: Become one of the first 50 people to fish up 40 Tastyfish and turn them in in Booty Bay!

What is the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza?
The Fishing Extravaganza is a world quest that takes place in Stranglethorn Vale. It’s been in the game for many years and has seen a few iterations and updates in rewards!
When does the Fishing Extravaganza take place?
The Fishing Extravaganza takes place every single Sunday, between 2pm and 4pm server time. (Not local time, the time for your individual server. You can find this by hovering over your Clock below your mini map.)
Why should I participate in the Fishing Extravaganza?
The Fishing Extravaganza is a fun event, but outside of that, it has great rewards! The Best reward (From most people’s perspective) is an Heirloom Ring, that can be worn along side the Heirloom Rings received from your Garrison Shipyard! Getting this ring will complete your Heirloom set and earn you some bragging rights amongst other Master Anglers!
How do I complete the Fishing Extravaganza?
When the event begins, all pools of Fish will be changed, and start rewarding Tastyfish instead of ocean fish. You will need to be one of the first 50 players to return 40 of these fish into Riggle Brassbolt in Booty Bay.
Tips for completing the event!
There are a few things you can do to try and Rig (pun intended) the event in your favor!
-Playing a Highmountain Tauren! Their passive Waste Not-Want Not give you a chance to catch extra fish from pools!
-Set your Hearthstone to the Inn in Booty Bay! This inn is located directly next to Riggle, so all you must do is hearth and then walk outside to turn in your quest!
-Buy an Oversized Bobber from the fishing supply vendor!
What are the best spots to fish at?
Any coastal area in the Stranglethorn Vale (Cape of and Northern Stranglethorn) is great for fishing up Tastyfish pools.
Try to stick the spots highlighted on on the Maps to the left!
